the green dress
This dress was a reward for a bunch of fairly lousy days. I think I earned it. I normally take outfit photos in the morning before I leave the house, but there wasn't time today, so here you have end-of-the-day sleepy, shoeless me. I wore my new black oxfords, but once I get home shoes do not stay on.
My hair stayed up in its fancy braids all day, which I'm pleased about.
I'm still kind of stressed out, but wearing this dress sure does make me feel better.
(Hey, apropos of nothing-- any of you guys know someone who's looking for a place to live in the DC area? It would make my life a whole lot easier if you did.)

Darn, my friend just moved to DC but she already has an apartment! Anyway, I am having some serious dress envy right now.
ReplyDeleteHeyas! I totally love your braids; I'm impressed they stayed so nice all day! Long hair will do that. And a dress is such a good way to reward yourself. You look awesome in it. :D
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this dress. Gorgeous hair, too! Can I ask you how you get such great lighting in your indoor pics??
ReplyDeleteTo be honest? Judicious use of Photoshop, at least on this one. When it's daylight I just use longer exposures and try to hold still.
ReplyDeleteLove that dress! And how did you do your hair? It looks really good :)
ReplyDeletei love the way you styled your hair in the braids, i can never get mine to do that
ReplyDeleteKate, I pinned back the front, Franch-braided the rest into pigtails, and then pinned up the braids at the back of my neck. It looks more complicated than it is!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress and the braids look great! Totally understand the late night pictures, happens to me all the time :)
